Eazy Mac has been an opening act at many of those shows. With Calgary having a growing hip-hop scene many Hip-hop acts have came to Calgary and performed at many venues around the city. He has been growing in popularity in the past year, he has a fan base, which is growing outside of the city of Calgary, and he is now touring all over the country starting with having show in Vancouver. With having streaming services like SoundCloud, Apple music and Spotify it helps Eazy Mac to get his music out there for his fans that get to listen to his music right away, as well as the new music that he releases. It give a platform for his fans to reach out it also a way for him to talk to his fans.
With having a platform like Facebook, it has helped him to reach many of his fans as well as reaching out to newer fans. He uploads his music videos for different songs on Facebook it helps him to reach out to his fans, and get feedback from them. In September 2016 he performed on the main stage at the one love music festival, which is the largest hip-hop festival in western Canada.Įazy Mac has used social media like Facebook and twitter to help promote his music. He recently released his first album, which was called Music for the Visually Impaired he also released some music videos on YouTube to go along with album. ‘’ I am not that surprised that a 100,000 thousand people like my music, and just happy I worked hard now I am seeing results of that hard work, ‘’ says Mac.Įven though he has been around the Calgary hip-hop scene for a while, he is largely indifferent on what’s going in the scene and he doesn’t really have much to say about it. “ My music style is kind of of underground, it’s a little bit alternative and new school, ‘’ says Mac.Įazy Mac has grown a large fan base, which is growing by the 100,000 and keeps on growing. I am big fan of alternative hip-hop like Travis Scott and young thug,‘’ says Eazy Mac.Įazy Mac mostly uses his imagination while creating his music, also a little a bit of drugs. ‘’ I got into hip-hop because I enjoy music, and the culture. He started rapping about seven years ago. Mac Barrett better known, as Eazy Mac is hip-hop artist who is from Calgary, Alberta Canada.
